We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to work with the six Local Authorities that cover East Kent, providing officer leadership and supporting Members in the East Kent Leadership Group (EKLG) on a range of strategically important matters.
You will work closely with elected Members, East Kent Chief Executives, and across the local authorities to lead, shape and deliver shared growth-related strategies and priorities, collective objectives, and effective outcomes across the East Kent area.
You will need to have experience of providing strong, supportive, strategic leadership at a senior level, the ability to provide clear policy direction, and a track record of working collaboratively to successfully deliver complex projects and cross-cutting programmes.
You will also need a solid understanding of the local and national Political context, including the current challenges and opportunities facing East Kent.

We envisage the post holder being employed to fulfil an average of two days per week.
However, there may be a degree of flexibility in how this role can be undertaken and other working arrangements, employment terms or engagement options may be considered.
We are also open to discussing this opportunity with individuals who may not meet all of the person specification requirements fully, but who may be able to develop any gaps in knowledge or experience swiftly.
