This post is based at the Dover District Council premises at the White Cliffs Business Park, Dover.
We are looking for a self-motivated individual to join the Waste Services team, acting on behalf of Dover District Council and Folkestone & Hythe District Councils, supporting the provision of Recycling & Waste Collections and Street Cleansing services across the two Districts.
This successful partnership between the two authorities, led by Dover District Council, has been running for 11 years, and a further 8-year contract with a private sector provider commenced in January 2021. The successful candidate will monitor the day-to-day delivery and standards achieved by our partner contractor, implementing measures to ensure performance improvement and enhancements where necessary.

You’ll need to have the ability to organise and prioritise work effectively in order to meet deadlines and maintain high quality of services at all times. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships within the team and the wider organisation are essential.
This role includes a significant element of field-based working and During the summer season, there will be street cleansing monitoring inspections either in the evenings and/or over weekends.
We have a hybrid working approach with an expectation that you will work from the team office in Dover at least one day per week.
